Doughnuts of Note!

Of all of the places I've traveled throughout the country, I've managed to sample some of the best doughnuts, yeast and cake doughnuts. I thought that I'd compile a page of all of the best doughnuts I've tried throughout the country! Here are the best ones that I've had so far, I when ever there is a new one I'll say it on the side bar.

#6 The Doughnut Plant- Lower East Side, Manhattan, NY

Coming up with so many original doughnut types by hand such as the fresh raspberry and the walnut glazed as well as doughnuts coming out of the oven and fryer with many different shapes and sizes. These unique doughnuts are all fresh from the store and can be seen in trendy food stores all over Manhattan.

#5 Wickham's Fruit Farm- Main Road, Cutchogue, NY

This isn't your ordinary farm while they are selling imported cheeses and fresh doughnuts along with their own grown fruits. These doughnuts are fried fresh throughout the day and sell out in bags of six in an instant. They come in three flavors: plain, sugared (my favorite), and cinnamon.

#4 The Dahlia Lounge's Doughnuts, Seattle, Washington
Another great stop for doughnuts lies right in Seattle fitting as number 3. Next to their famous dungeness crab cakes, there are the next most popular thing on the menu of this trendy restaurant. More like doughnut holes, these are served in a bag shaken with cinnamon-sugar and served with two dips. They come out warm and taste amazing.

#3 The Daily Dozen Doughnut Company- Pike Place Market, Seattle, Washington

Once I tried these doughnuts, they were the standing number one I've ever had. They have a very unique flavor, they are all made by hand and quickly at that. However, sales are so crazy, there's a line through the market to get them throughout the whole market.

#2 The Stanton Social- Soho, Manhattan, NY
I basically have to say, that I would eat a whole meal just to get to these doughnuts (I would however enjoy the meal). They're sent out fresh and warm and come with three dipping sauces- raspberry, caramel, and chocolate. However even if you don't want the dipping sauce, they're perfectly fine to eat on their own.

#1 Round Rock Doughnuts- Round Rock, Texas

The official #1 doughnut I've ever tried. They have an array of delicious, sweet doughnuts, and a great staff with their doughnuts being made fresh every day. Every day around breakfast and other various times, there is up to an hour wait for these doughnuts. Their worth going all the way to Texas from New York just to get them.
